I usually write blog posts on my iPad using software called Blogsy. Unfortunately it hasn't been working properly for some time and I've not been able to post anything.
So here's a quick post using Blogger itself just to show some Norse Gael warriors I recently finished. These warriors are armed with javelins. I tend to paint javelins in a lighter shade than spears. This helps to more easily distinguish them on the gaming table. The logic is that javelins are newer and therefore made from more freshly cut wood.

Very well done indeed! Love the basing.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Bases follow my standard method but with the addition of heather tufts.
DeleteVery nice painting and basing :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm working my way up to trying more patterns on cloth. For the Gaels I've limited it to a few lines to give the illusion of plaid but I'll need to do more for my Ancient Britons.
DeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
DeleteNice work!
ReplyDeleteI used to use Blogsy if I was on my ipad, but then it started playng up - I wish I could find a good alternative (or Blogger released a decent app)
Thanks! It's a real pain that blogsy appears broken. If you find a decent alternative let me know!
DeleteGreat looking figs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gordon!
DeleteI wondered what you where up to, nice to see you still have the brush in your hand. Looking good as always.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Kevin
I know! It's been frustrating to not post. Using blogger to post on my ipad is a bit of a pain, so I do need to find an alternative. I now have some Ancient Briton cavalry on the paint table - not sure how long the horses will take though!
DeleteThese look very nice. Great job. The bases bring them to life very nicely indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon. I try to 'theme' bases for each warband to give them a more consistent look. The Norse Gaels have heather, Vikings have meadow grass with yellow flowers etc.
DeleteGlad to see you back. Nice dark age lads.
